Privacy Policy Notice.
Attorneys who provide legal services involving financial
matters of clients are required by federal law to inform
their clients of their policies regarding the privacy of
Clientele
information. The purpose of this Notice is to explain
what we do with the financial information provided to
us, and the ways we protect our clientele's
privacy.
Types of Nonpublic Personal Information We
Collect. We collect nonpublic personal
information about our clients that is provided to us by
our clients or obtained by us in the course of providing
legal services requested by our clients. This
information, in some cases, includes information about
our
clientele's
personal finances and property.
Disclosure of Information. We disclose
nonpublic personal information about our clients only to
individuals or entities necessary in order to provide
our clients with the legal services they have requested.
For instance, our staff may have access to our
clientele's
nonpublic, personal information in order for us to
efficiently provide legal services. In some situations
we may provide information to another organization (such
as our
clientele's
accountant, realtor or insurance company) in order to
obtain information or assist us in providing legal
services. At all times, however, we
do not disclose, without our
clientele's
prior permission, nonpublic information that is
protected by the attorney-client privilege and/or the
attorney work-product privilege. Within this context, we
do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about
our clients to anyone, except as necessary to provide
our clients with the legal services that they have
requested.
Clients Have The Right to Prohibit Disclosure.
If for any reason our clients do not want us to provide
nonpublic personal information about them to other
parties in the course of providing legal services, they
may direct us not to make those disclosures. If a client
wishes to direct us not to disclose information, we
invite that client to advise us to not to disclose such
information.
Our Clientele's Privacy Is Important to Us.
We retain records and files relating to the professional
services our clients ask us to provide. In order to
guard our
clientele's
nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical,
electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with
the Code of Professional Responsibility that governs our
profession. If you are a client of the Firm, please call
us with any questions that you have about protecting
your privacy.
